The CRC1550 and 13 other Collaborative Research Centers and their graduate schools, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), are joining forces to advance the prevention and treatment of the two most common causes of death in Germany – cardiovascular and kidney disease.
The event will also bring together representatives from politics and the DFG to discuss strategies for raising awareness of the burden of cardiovascular and renal diseases. Through close cooperation between scientists and political decision-makers, a solid basis is to be created in order to develop effective solutions and put them into practice.
